Step 2: Create a Pinterest Inspiration Board

Pinterest is one of my favorite design tools.

I create a dedicated board for each project and begin collecting inspiration that reflects the desired style, color palette, finishes, and overall aesthetic.

At this stage, I'm not focused on exact products. Instead, I'm looking for patterns and themes:

• Color combinations

• Flooring styles

• Cabinet designs

• Lighting inspiration

• Bathroom layouts

• Kitchen finishes

• Furniture and decor ideas

As the board grows, a clear design direction starts to emerge.

Step 3: Build a Mood Board

Once I've gathered enough inspiration, I create a mood board that brings the vision together in one place.

This is where the project starts feeling real.

The mood board helps me define:

Having everything visually organized ensures that every design choice works together cohesively.

After the design direction is finalized, I create a detailed materials list.

This becomes the roadmap for the project.

The list typically includes:
